The industry's most versatile manual transfer switch. This generator transfer switch is ideal for powering essential appliances with a portable generator during a power outage. It accommodates 10 to 16 household circuits, and can be used with any portable generator up to 7500 watts continuous, 9000 watts surge.
Ideal for powering your furnace blower (gas or oil only), refrigerator and kitchen circuits, well pump, lights, security system, garage door opener, water heater and television. If your needs change, your installer can easily expand this transfer switch to up to 16 circuits just by adding more circuit breakers. The enclosure can be surface or flush mounted indoors. It incorporates off-the-shelf circuit breakers, so you don't have to search high and low for replacements, and your installer can reconfigure the breaker combinations to suit your family's needs. This transfer switch includes dual wattmeters to help you balance generator loads to prolong generator life. A 30 amp male power inlet (NEMA L14-30) is included in the carton if a plug-in connection is desired in a dry location. Includes three 15-amp 1-pole breakers, three 20-amp 1-pole breakers, one 2-pole 20 amp breaker and one 2-pole 30-amp breaker. Accepts Arc Fault and GFCI breakers to meet the 2008 NEC.
UL Listed with Siemens, Square D (HOM), Cutler-Hammer (BR) and GE (THQL) interchangeable type breakers. Now includes subfeed lugs to accommodate a downstream panel to expand backup power circuits beyond 16, or if all full-size breakers are desired. Expanded neutral and ground bars now accommodate relocating all neutral and ground wires from load center, if required by local inspector.
