20 amp 6-circuit "vintage" prewired manual transfer switch KIT for generators up to 5000 watts continuous, 6000 watts surge.
Kit includes Model 20216V transfer switch, aluminum power inlet box enclosure (remove inlet from transfer switch and remount in this inlet box), and 25 foot 12 gauge 4-wire cord with L14-20 male and female ends. Transfer Switch includes six 3-position switches, four 15-amp breakers and two 20-amp breakers and handle tie for one 2-pole circuit. Includes two wires per circuit plus neutral and ground wire, conduit, fittings. Made with UL Listed components. Made in USA.
The transfer switch mounts next to your existing electrical panel indoors (surface mount only) and connects to 6 household circuits like lights, kitchen, furnace, etc. During an outage, just connect a power cord (12 gauge, 4-wire with L14-20 male and female ends, our model RJB12425) from your generator to the inlet on this transfer switch (or use 20 amp power inlet box hardwiring) and flip the individual 3-position switches from UTIL to GEN. Safe, proven design eliminates the danger of backfeeding generator power onto utility lines.
Features include a durable, Aluminum enclosure, 6 switches (rated 20 amps ea), 6 push-to-reset circuit breakers that are in use when the generator is running, a handle tie for one 2-pole circuit such aell pump), dual wattmeters to help you balance loads on your generator for better performance, a power inlet (NEMA configuration L14-20) for fast connection, a closing plate to cover the inlet cavity when hardwiring is desired, external mounting feet, 18 of flexible conduit and all wires clearly marked for installation in less than an hour.
